Do you already have a route but want to change its starting point?
Follow this step-by-step guide to easily make this change in OpenRunner.
1. Add the route to the editor
Before making any changes, add the route to the editor.
If you’re not sure how, open the editor from your list of routes and select the one you want to modify.
2. Select a new starting point on the website
In the Route Editor, left-click on the point along your route that you want to set as the new start.
If there isn’t a point at that location, create a new waypoint first.
After clicking, a list of options will appear.
Select “Set as new start point.”
3. Select a new starting point in the mobile app
Open your route in the Route Editor.
Tap the desired point on your route, then choose “Set as new starting point.”
If no point exists at that location:
Tap your route and select “Insert on the route” to create an intermediate point.
You can also add a point outside the route: tap and hold near the trace, then select “Insert on the route.”
4. Check the change
Once the modification is made:
The “D” symbol (for Departure) will appear above the new starting point.
The elevation profile of the route will automatically recalculate to reflect the new start.
5. Save your changes
Click Save to apply and store the changes in your account.
