Would you like to share a route you created or found on OpenRunner? You can copy its link, send it by email, generate a QR code or embed it on a website.
If you are the author of the route, it must be public before it can be shared.
On the website
Make a route public
- Open the “My created routes” page from your profile menu in the top-right corner.
- Find the route you want to share.
- Click the icon showing its visibility:
- padlock: the route is private;
- globe: the route is public.
- Change the route’s visibility if necessary to make it public.
This option is available in both thumbnail view and list view.
Share a route from “My created routes”
- Click the three vertical dots next to the route.
- Select “Share”.
- Choose the option you want to use.
Share a route from its route page
- Open the route you want to share.
- At the top of the route page, click “Share”.
- Several options are available:
- copy the route link;
- share it by email;
- generate a QR code;
- embed the route on a website.
Once you have copied the link, you can paste it into a message, an email, a social media post or any other platform.
In the OpenRunner app
From the page of a route you created, you can change its visibility in several ways:
- tap the padlock or globe icon;
- or tap the three dots in the top-right corner, then change the “Visibility” option to public or private.
You can also tap the Share icon directly.
If the route is private, the app will offer you the option to make the route public and share it.
