Connection between Suunto and the OpenRunner app

Discover how to connect the Suunto app to OpenRunner, a useful feature for Suunto watches and Hammerhead GPS devices. Follow these steps to easily transfer your routes.

Connecting the Suunto app to OpenRunner

1. Go to the "More" page in the OpenRunner app.
2. Open "Applications and devices".
3. Click "Connect" next to Suunto.
4. Follow the connection steps to establish the link between OpenRunner and Suunto.

Transfer a route to your Suunto device

1. In the OpenRunner app, go to the "Routes" page.
2. Choose the route you want to send to your Suunto device.
3. Open the route's details page and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
4. Select "Send to Suunto".

Find the route in the Suunto app

1. Open the Suunto app.
2. Go to the "Map" menu.
3. Click on the bookmark icon.
4. You'll find your route in the "Routes" list.

Note

The Suunto app allows route transfers to the following models:

• Suunto 5
• Suunto 7
• Suunto 9
• Suunto Spartan Family
• Suunto Vertical
• Sunnto Race

The Ambit, Ambit 2, and Ambit 3 models are not compatible with this method.
