This article only applies to subscriptions purchased on the OpenRunner website.
You have received an email informing you that your subscription will be renewed in a few days and that your saved payment method (bank card) has expired.
Here is how to update your payment method
Method 1: From the email you received
- Click on the link in the email: “Update payment method”
- Enter the new payment method details and click on “Update”
Adding a new payment method may require validation from your bank (3D Secure). Please make sure to complete this validation process.
Once the subscription has been updated, make sure that the payment method displayed under the subscription name (EXPLORER in the image below) is the one you have just added. If it is not, click on the small pencil icon and then select the payment method you have just added.
If no payment method is displayed in this section, make sure that the default payment method is the one you have just added. If it is not, click on the three dots (...) and then select “Set this card as the default payment method”.
- If a payment has failed, updating your payment method may reactivate your subscription automatically.
Method 2: From your personal account on the website, only if your subscription renewal date is later than today
- Go to the OpenRunner website
- Sign in to your personal account
- Go to the “Subscription” section
- Click on “Edit” — you will be redirected to your Stripe dashboard
On the Stripe interface, click on the small pencil icon next to your current payment method (blue rectangle in the image below), or add a new payment method.
