(Feature available only with EXPLORER and PRO subscriptions)
SmartRoute is a feature that automatically optimises an imported or manually drawn route. It is suggested when your itinerary meets certain criteria and appears in the route editor.

When is SmartRoute suggested?
A route becomes eligible for SmartRoute in these cases:
No tracking mode defined: The route has no specific tracking mode.
Manual-only route: You have added only manual points, without automatic following.
SmartRoute will be suggested in the following situations:
Importing a GPX file.
Adding a route from My routes or from the Search in the editor, if it has no tracking mode and only manual points.
Note: A new route being created is not eligible for SmartRoute until it has been saved.
How to use SmartRoute
Import a GPX file or open an existing route in the editor.
Click SmartRoute when the option is available.
Choose the desired route-following mode (e.g., Hiking / Running / Trail, Road cycling, Gravel bike / Cycle touring…).
Click Apply to confirm the route optimisation.
The original track will appear as a dotted line, and the new optimised track as a continuous line.
Your route is now improved and ready to use or modify!
